About Sanjay Sharma
It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself to you. I was born in Agra and have been in the travel business for over 29 years. I earned my masters in English and History from the University of Agra with specialization in Indian medieval history in particular the Mughal period (the time when most of North India’s grand buildings were constructed, including the Taj Mahal.
Besides escorting and guiding groups from USA, Canada, UK & Australia for the last so many years, I also led tours for Smithsonian & Metropolitan Museums and Alumni Tours for prestigious university group tours viz: UCLA, U C Berkeley, USC, Columbia & Georgetown as well as Texas. Besides English I speak three other Indian languages which gives me an insight getting my groups through all parts of the Indian sub-continent. My love and passion for my homeland is evidenced in my method of Tour Directing. Most of my past travelers have journeyed back to India after their first adventure with me. That is certainly a testament to the way I work with my groups, A stickler for perfection and always insisting on the best. My experience in the travel industry gets richer each passing year. I am continually learning not only from my travelers but, from myself and the people of India. Learning is an adventure for me as well as meeting people from all over the world, and, to show them the beauty of my country is a gift I am so very proud of.
Once again, the richness of India is all-encompassing and I love sharing it with as many people as I can, each passing year. I would love to have the opportunity for having you fall in love with India and her peoples, as so many of my travelers have experienced in past. Travelers always get a new and brighter insight into India on my tours. My tours are not the average India tours – – I give my heart and soul to each and every traveler and make sure they see India from my eyes and then they recreate it in their own eyes, and this always garners new travelers from their individual experiences. This is what tour directing is all about.
Anyone can take a group of travelers on a day-by-day tour itinerary, tour directors can do it with their eyes closed. However, I feel I deliver my insight with every traveler that I get in touch. I am able to show them India the way it needs to be shown – with love and heart. I don’t think a traveler of mine ever misses the keen insight into my country – along with learning about her people and her way of life. My travelers always leave India with a newfound interest in a country most have never been to.
I hope that I will be able to entertain more and more people to my wonderful country so they in turn can take their experiences back to their homeland and share the newfound love of a wonderful country, India.
